INAUGURATION OF 2010-11 ACADEMIC YEAR

PAAVAI TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTE & PAAVAI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

"The teacher should enter the classroom without worry laden mind", advised the Chairman in his inaugural address. The Seventh Academic year Inaugural function of Paavai Teacher Training Institute, Paavai College of Education and first year P.G classes of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women was held in Paavai Institutions at Dr.Visveswaraya block, on 08.09.2010, Wednesday at 10.30 A.M.

The Chairman Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, presided over the function and the Correspondent Smt.Mangai Natarajan of Paavai Institutions inaugurated the function by lighting the kuthuvilakku.

The Chairman of Paavai Institutions Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan in his presidential address said that the five faces of kuthuvilaku symbolize the following five things: Students, Teachers, Parents, Society and Government and Institution. He added that Students should come to learn with responsibility, obedience and with interest and said the teachers deeds are watched by the society. The teachers are the shapers of the students as per the expectation of the society, there by aiming at changing the society. "Instead of cursing the darkness it's better to light a candle. To eliminate the defects in the society, it is better to mould the good human being".

Dean Polytechnic and Dr.S.Muthumeenakshi, the Principal felicitated the students.

Mrs. M.Sudha Lecturer in Mathematics, Paavai College of Education delivered the vote of thanks.

The function ended with National Anthem which was followed by the Paadha Pooja for the parents by the students.
