The college has an YRC unit consisting of 50 students and a staff co-ordinator

Paavai Engineering College,Youth Red Cross conducted a one day camp at Govt. Higher Secondary School in O.Sowthapuram on 19.02.2010.

In the program students were given special lectures to create an awareness about the YRC activities. The students involved themselves in cleaning the premises of temples, schools and roads. They created an awareness about environmental cleanliness to the rural people.
