Annual Day Celebration
Pavai College of Technology, Pavai Arts and Science College for women, Pavai College of Education and Pavai Teacher Training Institute celebrated their Annual Day on 10th March 2012, in a grand manner in Ananda Arangam A/C of PAAVAI Campus. Prof. M. Ramachandran from Madurai, a former professor of English, Pattimandram speaker and moderator was the chief guest for the occasion.
The programme started with a prayer song. Prof. Dr. J. Sundararajan, Principal, Pavai College of Technology extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions presided over the function. In his presidential address he pointed out his parental role in the Paavai family and also the role of teachers in taking care of the students. He assured that the students will have ever green memories about Paavai whenever they think about their college life. He wished the students to be successful in all their endeavours. Prof. R. Sagayaraj, Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering introduced the chief guest.
Prof. M. Ramachandran, a former professor of English, a renowned Pattimandram Speaker and Moderator in his special address highlighted the state of the art facilities available on Paavai Campus and admired the selfless efforts taken by the Chairman. In his humorous and thought provoking speech, he pointed out the importance of English and its role in the placement. He stated that the right attitude, consistent efforts and practice are the keys to gain mastery over the subjects. He emphasized the importance of imbibing values from the personalities we come across. He advised the students not to become an instrument in the hands of instruments like television and mobile. He added that the students could take risk in their life but they should not risk their life. They could play in their life and they should not play with their life. He pinpointed the importance of the sense of humour and presence of mind in the modern hectic world. He advised the students to respect and revere the teachers. Most importantly, he advised the students not to get deviated by the transient happiness and further, asked them them to realize their responsibilities in the society.
Finally, there was cultural programme. In the colourful show, students brought to limelight their creative and artistic talents. Dr. Muthumeenakshi, Principal of Pavai Arts and Science College proposed a vote of thanks.
